We are selling a used starter motor for Johnson and Evinrude outboard engines from the 1980's to 2001.
The OMC/BRP part numbers for the starter are 585197 and 586281. On motor it says 15FT 1.
The teeth of this starter look good and not worn down. The engine did start with this part. We parted out this motor because the block cracked. This is a freshwater Wisconsin part and it isn't damaged or corroded.
You will get a used OMC starter motor in great working condition. This is a salvaged Johnson outboard part from a 1995 60 Hp 3 cylinder and the part works perfectly.
This starter fits many Evinrude and Johnson outboard motors with 40, 50, 60, 65 and 70 Hp. Please check your application to be sure this is the right part for you.
