The Mercury part numbers for the gear are 43-86686A1, 86686, 60653.
This is the gear that is pressed onto the top of the shift shaft.
The teeth of this gear are in good condition with normal wear from use. Does not come with the bushing.
This gear works on many, but not all Mercury/Mariner outboards from the 1975-79 with a 4 HP, 7.5 or 9.8 HP engine.
