This sale is for one brand new old stock short shaft Mercury Outboard lower unit.
This Mercury gear case is brand new in the box. This is an original factory Mercury part, not aftermarket.
The drive shaft measures approx 18 1/2" from the tip to the top of the case.
The driveshaft has 6 splines and the prop shaft has 7 splines.
This lower unit fits some Mercury outboards from 1977-1980 with 4 hp Gnat 2cylinder Serial numbers 7085673-9210545 . It may fit more than this so please check your part numbers.
