The Mercury part number is 50-73521, which supersedes to 50-73521T and 50-898265005.
This starter motor should fit Mercury Mariner outboards from 1976 to 1997 with 40, 45 and 50 HP 4 cylinder motors. It should also fit some 500, 50 and 30 Jet.
The motor that we pulled this from was running great before we parted it out. There is no damage or corrosion. The teeth look good with only minor but acceptable wear. This is an original Mercury starter, not aftermarket.
