This complete gear case fits many 40-60 hp four stroke Mercury outboards from 2002-2006. Bigfoot is better for pontoon boats because you can run a much larger prop.
This sale is for one used Mercury Mariner Bigfoot Outboard 20" long shaft lower unit.
This lower unit was fully disassembled and inspected. All the gears are in like new condition with no wear. The splines on the prop shaft and drive shaft are in excellent condition. This unit was pressure tested and held at 18 psi.
This unit got dropped and there is a ding in the skeg (see pics) but it is still straight.
This is a fresh water part from Wisconsin with no corrosion.
The driveshaft measures 23 1/2" from the tip of the driveshaft to the base of the water pump and is known as a long shaft.
Prop shaft has 15 splines and the driveshaft has 17 splines.
2.33 Ratio with 12:28 gears.
